Taking accurate measurements is crucial to ensuring optimal results when installing heat-resistant film. Start by measuring only the glass portion, without including frames or seals. Use a rigid tape measure and check the dimensions in several places, as some windows may vary in size.

Take measurements of the width and height, keeping the largest dimension for each side. For a perfect fit, add a 2-3 mm margin on each side, which will allow for better positioning of the film without it coming into contact with the frames.

Rub the film from the centre towards the edges to remove any trapped water and air, then trim off any excess film if necessary. Wipe the edges to remove any remaining moisture. The film will take a few weeks to dry completely, during which time small bubbles may appear, which is perfectly normal.
